Man in custody in connection with January homicide

JACKSON, Tenn. — A Jackson man is in custody for a homicide that happened in January. According to a release, around 6 p.m. Jan. 26, Harvey Gandy, 33, was found dead inside his residence at Crestview Apartments in midtown Jackson. Corey Scott has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Gandy, according to Jackson police. Scott remains in custody at the Madison County jail and is scheduled to be formally arraigned Monday.
