JACKSON, Tenn. — A local lawyer convicted of tampering with evidence in her son’s murder case is set to have her license to practice law suspended. Earlier this month, Edythe Christie was found guilty of deleting evidence possibly linking her son, John Christie, to the death of his wife back in September of 2014. Sandy Garrett with the Board of Professional Responsibility said Wednesday the board has received the ruling and will now send the judgment to the supreme court. The justices are expected to immediately suspend Christie’s license.
