Dodd Holds Anti-Crime March Friday

Councilman-elect Johnny Dodd is encouraging community member to take to the streets of east Jackson once again. Dodd will lead another anti-crime march beginning at the corner of Holland Street and East Chester, Friday afternoon at 5. The march will begin where Marketis Bailey, 20, was found murdered on My 30. Dodd said Bailey’s senseless killing prompted his decision to reignite the marches. The march is open to anyone, however, the councilman-elect has especially asked men in the community to join the march in an effort to show leadership in the community.
