Gibson EMC gives update on power in Crockett, Gibson County
UPDATE:
As of 11:20 a.m., Gibson EMC and other services are working to restore power to 374 members in Crockett and Gibson counties.
“We have crews working at most of the 53 remaining outage trouble spots, but progress is slow,” said Barry Smith, VP of Engineering and Operations. “Yesterday we made repairs in areas that would restore service to the greatest number of members, sometimes getting power back on for hundreds of members at a time. Today, the repairs at each outage location will benefit fewer members and sometimes a single member.”
“Every member is important to us,” said Gibson EMC President and CEO Dan Rodamaker. “We know that an extended outage in freezing temperatures is a real hardship on our members and we are doing everything we can to restore service as quickly as is safely possible.”
