Dog Causes Wreck on I-40

A dog running loose is believed to have caused a collision that backed up interstate traffic fro miles, Monday afternoon. The crash happened just after 3 p.m. eastbound Interstate 40. Troopers said the dump truck rammed into the rear of a pickup truck that had stopped to try to avoid hitting the dog. The pickup then hit a mini-van. One of its passengers was being treated for non life-threatening injuries. Troopers said by the time they arrived, the family who had let their dog out , taking their dog with them.
