The Boys and Girls Club of Jackson received a much appreciated donation from the Jackson Cotillion Club, Friday. Cotillion Club members presented a check for more than $7,752 to the Boys and Girls Club. The money was raised through the Cotillion Club‘s Bunko Tournament in March. Officials said they selected The Boys and Girls Club as a partner because they saw a true need for financial assistance and appreciate the services the club provides to the community. “This contribution means the world to us in the times, economic times that we have right now, it’s very difficult to raise money and we need to be able to have people help support us,” stated Sabrina Anderson, Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Jackson. The Boys and Girls Club of Jackson, which was established in 1967, works with children ages five to 18 and focuses on academic success, healthy lifestyles, good character and good citizenship.
