Bemis Days this Weekend
Residents of one of Jackson’s most unique and historic areas will celebrate their heritage for the next few days. The Bemis Historical Society is hosting the annual event which will feature music, food, displays, bus tours and storytelling. The community was built in 1900 around the Bemis Cotton Mill, where company owners constructed homes and laid out a plan for the community complete with a movie theater. The old theater is a museum with artifacts from the mill and the community. The event is scheduled for Friday through Saturday and is open to the public.
