Fire Destroys Trenton Home

TRENTON, Tenn.- A Trenton family is homeless after a Sunday afternoon fire consumed their home and sent on firefighter to the hospital. The Trenton Fire Department was called to a home on South Church Street just before 2 p.m. Firefighters said the one person inside the house was able to get out safely, however one firefighter had to be taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. Several others were treated on the scene for heat exhaustion. Investigators said the flamed started downstairs but made it all the way to the roof, resulting in a total loss. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but firefighters said it does not appear to be suspicious.
