Marshals Help with Court Drill
If you drove down Lafayette Street, Thursday you were probably puzzled as to why a U.S. Marshals’ van setup in Downtown Jackson. According to the U.S. Court Clerk’s Office, the Marshals were assisting them in a preparedness drill. The workers practiced what they would do in a case that they had to evacuate the courthouse in case of a natural disaster, even terrorism. They also worked on how to set up a temporary location so they could continue the court’s business.
