Man hit, killed by train in Loudon

LOUDON, Tenn. (AP) – Police in Loudon say a man was walking along railroad tracks behind his home when he was struck and killed by a train.

WATE-TV (http://bit.ly/19KtA3h) said authorities identified the man as 34-year-old Kenneth Shea. He was hit by the train at about 11:30 p.m. Monday and died from his injuries.

Investigators did not immediately know why Shea was on the Norfolk Southern tracks.
