Jackson to host fourth annual Children’s Day

JACKSON, Tenn. (WBBJ) — The City of Jackson is hosting an event geared toward young people.

The fourth annual children’s event day plans to be a day to remember for Hub City kids. The event will feature games, activities, crafts and musical performances for kids of all ages.

Admission is free and open to the whole community.

The director of Neighborhood Services for the city of Jackson, Elvia Trejo, said she looks forward to the choir performance and a bilingual play from the Ned called “Conejo.”

“I always look forward to the choir, I was in choir when I was a child, so just hearing their sweet little voices,” Trejo said. “We’re going to have a performance from the Ned, from their play Conejo, which I’m also really excited, it’s a bilingual play, so I get excited about the whole program. I think it’ll be really great.”

Children’s event day is Thursday, April 24 at 4 p.m. at city hall on East Main Street.
