Jackson Central-Merry Receives Literacy Grant

JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson Central-Merry Academy of Medical Technology is getting a $2,000 literacy grant from Dollar General. JCM officials say they are thankful for the grant. Dollar General literacy foundation is celebrating 20 years of helping individuals learn how to read. Since its inception, the foundation has awarded more than $81 million to nonprofit organizations and schools helping more than 4.7 million individuals advance their literacy and basic education skills. The money designated to help students who are below grade level or experiencing difficulty reading.
