Sentencing set in cocaine trafficking case

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) – A federal judge has rescheduled the sentencing hearing for a man charged with trafficking cocaine from Tennessee and other states into Mississippi.

Court records say Kirklon Martel Scott was involved in drug trafficking from January 2010 to June 2012.

The court records say on one occasion Scott traveled from north Mississippi to Tennessee with $30,000 to buy cocaine. The document didn’t give exact locations in either state.

Scott pleaded guilty in October of last year.

His sentencing hearing is scheduled for Sept. 23 in U.S. District Court in Oxford.
