UPDATE: Lane College Shooting Suspect in Custody

JACKSON, Tenn. – The suspect in the shooting at Lane College is currently in custody on a $75,000 bond. Police said Vinton Antonio Grant, 18, surrendered around 7 p.m. Tuesday for a charge of reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon. Jackson police announced the prime suspect in a shooting on Lane College’s campus turned himself in approximately 6 hours after several shots were fired, Tuesday. Police told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News Grant fired at least three shots into the vicinity of some students then reportedly ran north into a waiting Oldsmobile Alero that was parked on Middleton Street. Grant’s next scheduled court date is Thursday September, 26.
