HENDERSON CO., Tenn. — A woman who deputies say abducted her two children and took them to Texas will be extradited back to West Tennessee sometime this week. Mary Alice Kern and her two children were found about around 1 p.m. Tuesday in Angelina County, Texas. Deputies were looking for Kern after they say she picked up the boys from their foster parents for a weekend visit and didn’t bring them back on Sunday like she was supposed to. DCS is flying someone to Texas to get the children, and they should also be back in the state in the next couple days. Deputies say she’d lost custody due to a history of drug abuse, and will face two counts of custodial interference.
