Shooting Victim Found in Crashed Car

JACKSON, Tenn. – Jackson police confirm they are investigating a fatal shooting in east Jackson. The victim, a man in his 60s, was found in a crashed car. The car crashed into the front porch of a home in the 200-block of East Forest Ave. just before 7:30 p.m. Police said when first responders arrived, they realized the man had been shot. He was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. As of late Tuesday evening, police were not releasing a lot of details. Officers remained on the scene three hours after the initial call. Police are still trying to determine if there is another crime scene. The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of his family.
