4 juveniles charged with arson after house fire

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) – Shelby County Deputies have arrested four children after a house fire in Memphis.

Shelby County Sheriff’s spokesman Chip Washington says deputies are also looking for a fifth juvenile on Monday afternoon.

Washington says witnesses described five children breaking into an abandoned house at about 2 p.m. CDT Sunday.

The children were 12, 9, and 6 years old, with two of them being 6; deputies say the 6-year-old children were brothers.

The 12-year old was charged with aggravated burglary and arson and taken to Juvenile Court.

Because of their ages, the names of the four arrested were not released by the sheriff’s office.
