Warrant issued for man in death of 1-year-old
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) – Police in Memphis are searching for a man wanted on a charge of murder in the death of a one-year-old.
Police told WMC-TV (http://bit.ly/1DqR1ZB ) they have a warrant for 36-year-old Markell Atkins. Investigators say Atkins was the boyfriend of Tremaine Black, who was taken to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital on May 19 with several injuries.
Tremaine later died and his death was ruled a homicide from severe child abuse.
Investigators are asking for the public’s help in locating Atkins.
