Donation to help with Greeneville training tower
GREENVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Greeneville Mayor W.T. Daniels is being presented a $50,000 donation from US Nitrogen that will help build a five-story training facility for the city fire department.
The Knoxville News Sentinel (http://bit.ly/1wUnnhN ) says the drill tower will simulate fire and rescue emergencies faced by local and regional personnel.
The structure will simulate rescue scenarios in multistory residential or commercial facilities.
US Nitrogen plant manager Justin Freeark is presenting the donation to Daniels on Tuesday.
Greeneville Fire Chief Mark Foulks says dozens of local and regional emergency response agencies will also have access to the facility.
