Tree work will close Cades Cove Loop Road 6 days

GATLINBURG, Tenn. (AP) – The Cades Cove Loop Road at Great Smoky Mountains National Park will be closed for six days this month for tree removal.

The park says the road will be closed to pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists Tuesday through Thursday and Jan. 13 through Jan. 15.

Hazard trees will be removed from Loop Road as well as from Cades Cove Campground. The park says the campground will still be open, but campers may be relocated during the work period.
