Hardin Co. manhunt for Illinois fugitive

HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. — A manhunt in Hardin County has officers warning West Tennesseans to be on the lookout. Troopers told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News they have been looking for William Skelton, a fugitive out of Illinois, since around 8 a.m. Friday. Troopers said he is wanted on a warrant for armed robbery. Skelton reportedly has been spotted twice in north Hardin County when he ran from a trooper during a traffic stop on Highway 128. Law enforcement officials said if you see Skelton, do not approach him. Instead immediately call 911.
