Parent falls more than 70 feet during family’s spring break hike
MOAB, Utah (CNN) – A parent survived a fall of about 70 to 80 feet during a family’s spring break hike in Utah’s Pritchett Canyon on Friday.

One of the children heard the screams and alerted the other parent, according to the Grand County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities began a search-and-rescue operation.
Responders said they reached the victim using a helicopter and climbing equipment.
The victim was taken to a trauma center in critical condition.
