DCS employee charged with aggravated assault is terminated

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Department of Children’s Services employee accused of firing a gun near a group of people earlier this year has been fired. According to the state DCS office in Nashville, Warren Crook was an employee with the Southwest Region office in Madison County. According to Lexington police, Crook is charged with aggravated assault. In a letter released from the commissioner, the agency notified Crook of his termination July 24. His last day will be Aug. 3.
