Auditions for Pocohontas
The Jackson Teen Theatre announces auditions for Pocohontas on Tuesday, August 25 & Wednesday, August 26. Auditions will begin at 3:45 p.m. each day. Auditionees will need to sing an accompanied Broadway song of their choice. No a cappella! This is NOT the Disney version. The “Wordspinner” and rhythmic beat of the tom-tom open and close this charming musical adventure for all age groups. Pocohontas, the daughter of Chief Powhatan, delights in playing with Raven, Wolf, and Squirrel. Pocohontas has also made friends with the English settlers of Jamestown, a community struggling with starvation and sickness. This enchanting musical is filled with Native American lore and beautiful music. This play is true to the original legend. Performance dates are October 15 & 16, 2015.
