The Jackson Teen Theatre presents “Pocahontas”
The Jackson Teen Theatre presents “Pocahontas” on October 15 at 9:00 am and 7:00 pm and October 16 at 7:00 pm. Matinee tickets are &7 and evening performances are $9/10. Tickets can be obtained by phone, email, or online. School groups are welcome. Performance will be at the Ned R. McWherter West TN Cultural Arts Center. The “Wordspinner” and the rhythmic beat of the tom-tom open and close this charming musical adventure for all age groups. Pocahontas, the daughter of Chief Powhatan, delights in playing with Raven, Wolf , and Squirrel. Pocahontas has also made friends with the English settlers of Jamestown, a community struggling with starvation and sickness. This enchanting musical is filled with Native American lore and beautiful music. This play is true to the original legend.
