Weather Update – 11:00 p.m. Wednesday
Skies will be mainly clear tonight with calm conditions as winds die down to between 5 and 10 miles per hour from the northwest. The lighter winds and clearer conditions will bring temperatures to the lower and middle 40s near sunrise at 5:59 a.m. Thursday morning. Chilly weather is forecast for the next couple mornings for the Mid-South but warmer weather is on the way this weekend!
THURSDAY
Tomorrow’s temperatures and cloud cover are a bit trickier to forecast. High pressure will begin building into the region causing the western half of West Tennessee to be mostly sunny but the eastern parts of West Tennessee will have mostly cloudy to overcast skies during the afternoon. Conditions will remain dry, but the cloudier afternoon could mean highs in the lower 60s. Elsewhere, where skies are clearer, expect highs in the middle to upper 60s – still nearly 10°F below average for this time of year.
FRIDAY AND THIS WEEKEND
Skies will end the week much clearer for the majority of the Mid-South. Temperatures will start warming up too with highs on Friday in the lower to middle 70s. Over the weekend, Saturday and Sunday could feature highs in the lower to middle 80s. Clouds will start to return on Sunday.
Here’s the latest forecast for the West Tennessee Strawberry Festival Parades:
Jr. Floats Parade: Mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the middle and upper 50s in the morning to middle 60s during the afternoon.
Grand Floats Parade: Sunny skies and temperatures in the middle and upper 60s in the morning to lower 70s during the afternoon.
