Applebee’s delivered to Veterans Home

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — Veterans Day is Friday, but organizations and residents of West Tennessee were already showing their appreciation Thursday afternoon.

At the Veterans Home in Humboldt, 100 meals were delivered from the Applebee’s restaurant in the Dyersburg Mall.

Veterans got the chance to enjoy steak, chicken, or pasta dishes. And they told us they were grateful for the volunteers who put a smile on their faces.

“Just like Applebee’s today, its great. It’s just absolutely wonderful. And this place here is the nicest place in the world, I’m gonna say,” said veteran Ed Pierce.
