Dollar General to compensate employees who receive COVID-19 vaccine
GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. — Dollar General announced on Wednesday that it will be supporting employees who want to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
A news release says that hourly employees who receive the vaccine will be provided with four hours worth of regular pay. Additionally, those who are on a salary will be given additional store labor hours.
With no on-site pharmacy or place for employees to receive the vaccine at work, the company says this decision removes the choice between work and receiving the vaccine.
Dollar General adds that it is not requiring the vaccine for employees, but is encouraging it.
