Pride Month celebrated at community potluck in Humboldt

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — An organization dedicated to connecting and empowering LGBTQ+ residents is bringing the community together.

In celebration of Pride Month, West Tennessee LGBTQ+ Support joined Out Jackson to host a potluck brunch at Pine Hill Park in Humboldt.

In 2020, the group came together to find an accepting community. Now they hope to create more friendships and connections.

They are hosting different events and looking for ways to support and protect their rights.

“We are looking at hiring an attorney to help with legal matters to ensure people have any support they need legally, and make sure everyone’s rights are protected,” said Megan McKee, co-founder of West Tennessee LGBTQ+ Support.
