Meteorology, UT Martin – Basketball

Why did you first choose your sport?

I chose to play basketball because I remember as a little kid the amusement and excitement I had in watching my favorite stars play and I knew I wanted to be a part of that. I wanted to be able to showcase my talents to fans. Basketball is my passion and it yields so much fun to my life.

Are you excited for college?

I am most definitely excited for college as I plan on pursuing a degree in meteorology. However, I am not rushing anything because I want to stay in the moment and soak in my senior year to the fullest.

What is your favorite memory from your athletic career in high school?

My favorite memory of my athletic career has nailing the game winner versus Liberty early in my senior 22-23 basketball season. I’ve always wanted to score a game-winner so it was a satisfying moment.

What about your sport brings you the most joy?

What I enjoy the most about my sport is the camaraderie that I am able to build and have with my teammates. I do not take for granted the opportunity to create moments and memories with my fellow brothers.

What’s your advice for future athletes?

My advice to future athletes is to never cease working hard. The only way to become great is to be as dedicated and determined to what you desire to achieve as anyone else.
