‘Hoops for the House’ games to support Ryder Lewis Memorial Fund, Ronald McDonald House

JACKSON, Tenn. — Some local basketball teams collaborated with a local charity for a good cause.

Jackson Christian School is hosting some charity basketball games this weekend and the funds will benefit the Ryder Lewis Memorial Fund, which directly supports the Ronald McDonald House.

Chris Lewis, the father of Ryder, tells us that the organization has raised more than $60,000 with the community’s support. The funds raised will go towards families who are experiencing medical difficulties and are in need of support.

“Basketball was something Ryder loved, our family has loved, all of our friends and volunteers that help us here love basketball and we feel like its great sport that allows families kinda come together,” said Lewis.

Saturday’s game will start at 1:30 p.m. with South Side vs. ECS.

With another game at 7:30 p.m. with Jackson Christian vs. Madison.

There will also be games on Monday beginning at 1:30 p.m. with North Side vs. South Gibson and the last game begins at 7: 30 p.m. with ECS vs. Jackson Christian.
