What’s New Wednesday: The Experience Salon

JACKSON, Tenn. (WBBJ) – Gary Gereau recently opened The Experience Salon in north Jackson.

Gereau is growing his team at the salon. He has Monica Turner, who specializes in braids, hair extensions, eyelashes and brows. Two open booths are available on a commission basis.

“I am currently now growing my team. I have Miss Monica Turner. She’s an amazing braider. She specializes in braids, hair extensions, eyelashes and brows too as well. And I also have two open booths available, which are commission-based as well,” Gereau said.

The Experience Salon is located at 565 Carriage House Drive, Suite 19. The salon schedules a monthly class for licensed professionals or those still in hair school.

“It’s an all-in-one stop shop. It’s like, you pull up, it’s more than just getting your hair done. You can advance, leave with confidence, and have healthy hair too,” Gereau said.

Gereau said a good relationship with clients is important. He said customer service is everything.

“So that’s why I mentioned customer service earlier. Sometimes it’s not, you don’t have to be the best at a thing, but just showing up, just being available, being a listening ear, just being able to serve that client with whatever that they need at the moment,” Gereau said.
