Jackson-Madison County School System honors retiring staff
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson-Madison County School System held a retirement ceremony to celebrate staff who are retiring at the end of the school year.
The ceremony honored all staff including bus drivers, cafeteria workers, janitors and educators.
“For us it is more than just celebrating their years of experience, their years of service. But it is really about celebrating the fact that they have poured into the community,” said Tiffany Spight, organizer for the JMCSS retirement ceremony. “So we just wanted to take a moment to show our appreciation during this celebration today.”
Along with the dinner, participants also got to take home a special golden apple award.
