Man arrested after allegedly using hidden camera to watch health care workers use bathroom
LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. (WBTV/Gray News) – A 73-year-old man was arrested after investigators said he admitted to using hidden cameras to watch home health care workers while they used the bathroom.

On April 29, a home health care worker at Jonathan Malmberg’s home reported finding what appeared to be a small, concealed camera in a bathroom. The worker took a picture of the device and sent it to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities confirmed it was a camera lens.
Investigators later obtained a search warrant for Malmberg’s home and found the hidden camera in the bathroom, along with a storage device under the sink.
Investigators also seized “a large volume” of electronic storage devices from inside the home.
Malmberg was arrested and admitted to detectives that he installed the camera to watch home health care workers while they used the bathroom, investigators said.
Malmberg was charged with five felony counts of secretly peeping into a room occupied by another person. He was given a $500,000 secured bond.
