NORTH JACKSON — Officials set an ambitious goal Friday at the Tennessee Highway Patrol Office in north Jackson as they announced plans to make the last two months of 2015 the safest on record. Commissioner Bill Gibbons, joined by Col. Tracy Trott, visited local troopers Friday afternoon. First responders in the area also were given the chance to have state leaders address concerns they have on the front lines. “This has always been one of the top performing districts that really has grabbed a hold of our priorities and really worked with them very hard to make it one of the safer places to live down in this area,” Col. Trott said. Jackson was the last meeting on this round of visits to all the districts in this calendar year.
