Weather Update – 10:30 p.m. Wednesday

We could see some scattered showers and thunderstorms overnight into early Thursday morning as a cold front approaches the region. 30% chance for rain tonight. Temperatures will drop to just the middle 70s by sunrise at 5:51 a.m. Thursday morning.

THURSDAY
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible throughout the day on Thursday with a 40% chance for rain. Some storms could be strong with gusty winds and heavy rain. Isolated flash flooding is possible. High temperatures will reach the upper 80s and lower 90s for most during the afternoon.

FRIDAY AND THE WEEKEND
Expect another round of heavy rain at times on Friday with the cold front nearby. This could give us another chance for flash flooding in parts of West Tennessee that get the heaviest rain over the next couple of days. Strong storms will be possible as well but that will depend on what time the rain starts on Friday. If it arrives early, that could knock out the energy to give us severe weather and spare us from the strongest thunderstorms. Rain chances will be slight but continue into Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures will warm up to the upper 80s during the end of the week.

Have a good evening!
