TBI: Selmer man charged with murder in Hardin Co. homicide
HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. — A Selmer man has been charged with murder in the death of a Shiloh man earlier this year.
Terry Bradford Whitaker, 39, is facing a first-degree murder charge in the death of 55-year-old Sidney Layne Burks, according to a release from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
Burks was found dead May 4 in his Pratt Lane home in Shiloh, according to the release.
Agents developed information that Whitaker was responsible for the crime, according to the release.
The Hardin County grand jury returned a indictment July 19 charging Whitaker with murder.
Agents arrested Whitaker Monday and booked him into the Hardin County Correctional Complex on a $250,000 bond.
