Sunshine Won’t Be in Short Supply This Week
Weekend Forecast Update
There will be some patches of fog across West Tennessee Sunday morning, but it will clear out by the time most church services are over. Once this fog clears out, though, the Mid-South will see sunshine from Sunday afternoon until around Friday night when we see our next chances of rain. Two cold fronts are going to pass through the area, one on Sunday and another Monday morning that will clear out the fog and prevent more from rolling in.
TONIGHT:
Calm winds and high humidity are the ingredients for fog, so Saturday night much of West Tennessee will see some patches of fog between the hours of 2:00 AM and 10:00 AM. This fog will prevent temperatures from falling into the 30s Saturday night. Most of West Tennessee should stay above 40, with some of us into the mid-40s. As of 3:40 PM on Saturday no fog advisories are in place. Stay tuned to WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News for the latest updates on weather.
THE WEEKEND:
Sunday will be a rather calm day. A cold front will pass through the Mid-South in the afternoon hours that will take any remaining moisture out of the area for the time being. Lows will fall into the low to mid-40s Sunday night, but once the clouds clear out, the sunshine is here to stay for almost an entire week.

NEXT WEEK:
Sunshine lovers rejoice. After Sunday’s fog clears, West Tennessee will see nothing but sunshine until at least Friday when a few clouds roll into the area.
Highs will stay in the 50s all week and lows will drop into the upper-30s until Thursday. Lows Thursday will be higher due to the system bringing in the clouds for the next chance of rain around Friday Night. Some of us will see some cloud cover just before sunrise on Wednesday, but it will be out of the area before lunchtime, so the weather will be beautiful for us here in the Mid-South.
FINAL THOUGHT:
We’re looking at a gorgeous start to December this year. Highs are slightly above average and lows are on average for the next few days. You may want a jacket during the day this week; and if you’re out late, you may even want the coat if you’re out late Christmas shopping. Drought conditions are still in effect across much of West Tennessee, but the level 4 drought that covered much of West Tennessee has been lowered to a level 3. Hardin, McNairy and Decatur counties could still use some beneficial rain, but that won’t be coming this week.
