Semi and car wreck halts I-40 traffic Monday
UPDATE (2/27/24): Family pet ‘Rosco’ located after fleeing from I-40 wreck
HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — A wreck halted interstate traffic early Monday afternoon.
A WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News Tipster alerted us to the collision around 12:30 p.m., which occurred in the westbound lane of I-40 near mile marker 110.
Our crew arrived on scene around 1:15 to see a blue Prius significantly damaged on the driver’s side. The air bag seems to have deployed.
There was also a damaged semi truck on its side nearby.
Multiple state troopers and law enforcement vehicles were present.
Authorities have not confirmed the extent of any possible injuries at this time.
