New business to bring more than 100 jobs for Carroll County

JACKSON, Tenn. — A revolutionary factory is set to open in Carroll County.

Several community members gather today in downtown Huntingdon to learn of a global iron and steel factory that will open in Carroll County.

“We wanted to take part in this industrial and economic movement here,” said Matthias Normann, CEO of Intocast.

Intocast, a company founded and globally headquartered in Germany, that specializes in manufacturing and marketing refractory products for the iron and steel industries, Is investing 15-million dollars as the company constructs a revolutionary factory at the Huntingdon Industrial Park South location.

This development will create more than 100 new jobs in the area.

And community leaders share how this will impact the economic development and future of Carroll County.

“This is an opportunity to remain as citizens of Carroll County, to live here grow their families here and to make us even better than we are today,”
Mayor of Huntingdon, Nina Smothers.

The company anticipates construction to begin this July.
