New grant created for small businesses, February winner awarded

JACKSON, Tenn. — Once again, we’re giving back to small businesses in West Tennessee through a monthly competition.

The City of Jackson, Boren and Boyd, Alan Samuels, Deaton’s Carpet One and WBBJ-TV have partnered to award the Corporate Entrepreneur Grant.

February’s CEG winner is ‘Honey in The Rock‘, a speech therapy clinic located in Bells.

This clinic has been awarded a 6,000 dollar advertising campaign.

Neena Elmore is the owner, and therapist who specializes in speech therapy for adults and children.

She says she’s grateful to receive this grant.

“So, I just opened up the last week of February, and that’s going to give me the boost to be able to reach everybody in West Tennessee. They’ll be able to know like, what services I provide and especially for adults, because that’s and area that lacks. So, it’s just going to be able to reach and let everybody know,” said Elmore.

You could win this grant for your business as well.

A new small business is selected each month.
