Local business offering $3.14 pizzas for Pi Day
JACKSON, Tenn. — Thursday is Pi Day — and what better way to celebrate than with a “pie?”
In this case — a pizza pie!
The Speedway gas station at the corner of Highway 70 and 412 is selling whole pizzas for only $3.14 to celebrate Pi Day, March 14.
The entire store was decorated for the occasion and staff members wore pizza costumes.
The pizza pies were flying, as more than 50 pizzas were sold while our crew was there.
The store’s management team says today’s Pi Day celebration was definitely fun.
“It feels really good to be able to see happy customers,” said Chelsie Middleton. “We want repeat customers, we love the community. So it feels really nice. It’s up all day so come and grab your pizza! We’ve sold a lot so far and I’m excited, really excited.”
The whole pizzas that were sold for Pi Day were cooked and served to customers in less than three minutes.
It only took about two minutes to cook the pizzas in their oven.
