Jackson State Community College calls for input from the community

JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson State Community College encourages the community to help name their mascot.

Throughout the month of March, the community has the opportunity to vote on the new name for JSCC mascot, the green jay.

The Director of Campus Engagement encourages every one to participate, whether you attend the school or not.

“‘We have a lot of billboards up. We have a lot of branding up cause we want it to hit home that we are out there for everyone in the Jackson community.’ That’s right, thank you green jay. And so, one of the first steps that we want to take is not only us getting our voice out in the community but getting your voice heard too,” said Kat Hart, Director of Campus Engagement.
