Grizzlies open season Oct. 30 at San Antonio Spurs
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) – The Memphis Grizzlies will open the season Oct. 30 visiting the San Antonio Spurs in a rematch of their Western Conference finals.
The Spurs swept Memphis in four games, ending the Grizzlies’ first Western Conference final quickly. But the Grizzlies will kick off their season on the road for a second straight season, this time with a new coach in Dave Joerger and a new 3-point threat in newly signed veteran Mike Miller.
The Grizzlies’ home opener will be Nov. 1 against Detroit. They will host both the teams they ousted from the playoffs last spring to reach the conference finals during their longest home stand of the season between Nov. 30 and Dec. 11. The Clippers visit Dec. 5 with Oklahoma City in Memphis on Dec. 11.
