Jackson Parks and Recreation presents check to local nonprofit
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Parks and Recreation Department presented a check to the Regional Inter-Faith Association on Thursday.
Funds from this check presentation come from the Bowls for the Hungry charity event that helps the those in need in the community.
This charity auction helps fund organizations like RIFA.
Many non-profits come together in the community to make this possible and raise awareness for the less fortunate.
One major contribution from RIFA is their after school backpack program for children facing food insecurity.
It gives them six meals and two snacks to feed them over the weekend.
Leaders with RIFA say they are grateful for this contribution to help them continue their work in the community.
