Tennessee Highway Patrol to hold open house, Citizen’s Academy
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Tennessee Highway Patrol is inviting the public to participate in a few upcoming opportunities.
THP will hold an open house at their Jackson facility on Thursday, September 19.
From 4-8 p.m., you can learn more about THP at the event, which will also feature free food and a driving simulator.

Furthermore, the Jackson District of THP is taking applications for a citizen’s academy.
The citizen’s academy will run every Tuesday night, starting October 1, from 5-7:30 p.m, at the THP Jackson headquarters.
Each week, presentations will be made on various THP duties.
Applicants must be 21 or older, have no criminal history other than minor traffic violations, and sign all waivers and agreements to be considered.
