Hub City organizations prepare for grand opening of Ronald McDonald House
JACKSON, Tenn. — Various groups are anticipating the opening of a new facility that will offer a place for families, who are from out of town, a place to stay while their children are in the hospital.
Tuesday evening, leaders and speakers from several organizations met at First Presbyterian Church to discuss the goals and vision of the new Ronald McDonald House that’s set to open soon here in Jackson in the Hyatt Hotel on West Forest Avenue.
Susannah White, a representative one of the supporting organizations tells us about what families will find while staying at the Jackson Ronald McDonald House.
“It will have places that are different from a regular hotel in that it will have a library, it will have a reading center, it will have a kitchen where we can go as organizations to provide full meals and fellowship for the members that are there,” said White.
The Ronald McDonald house will be housed on the second floor of the Hyatt Hotel located at the corner of West Forest and Lambuth Boulevard near Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
It’s set to open in the first quarter of 2025.
