City of Jackson announces launch of Mobile Tool Shed

JACKSON, Tenn. — The City of Jackson is excited to announce the official launch of its Mobile Tool Shed.

The Mobile Tool Shed is designed to empower Jackson residents by providing free access to tools for home repairs, gardening and community projects.

Residents can check out up to four tools at a time, making it easier for neighborhoods to come together and take on beautification, litter cleanups and small-scale home improvement projects.

Churches and community organizations can reserve the mobile tool shed in full. Residents and community organizations can reserve the tool shed free of charge for local projects.

“Tools are so expensive. Supplies are so expensive. We want to empower our residents to be able to do these home repairs themselves with easy access to tools that they can borrow for a few days,” said Elvia Trejo, neighborhood specialist.

The Mobile Tool Shed Initiative is part of the city’s broader mission to build a stronger, more resilient Jackson by providing the resources needed for residents to enhance their neighborhoods.
