Survey shows large number of Americans are not getting health screenings
JACKSON, Tenn. — A recent national survey revealed that more than a quarter of Americans state that they are not up to date with their health screenings and immunizations.
And nearly one-third of adults, particularly those who are younger, Hispanic, or living in rural America report difficulty accessing health care services.
Preventive health care and screenings for conditions such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer are essential for detecting potential issues early, often before symptoms appear.
“Nurse Practitioner Partnered Care is a solution so that our patients can find access to healthcare and get the screenings and the immunizations that they need,” said Stephen Ferrara, president of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
The first step towards a healthier America is ensuring that every patient can access the health checks they need.
