City of Martin public safety holds National Night Out
WEAKLEY COUNTY, Tenn. — The City of Martin public safety celebrated their national night out on Tuesday.
This free event took place at Virginia Weldon park in Weakley county. There were many fun activities such as touch-a-truck with the Martin police department, city of Martin fire, and EMS vehicles. There were also bouncy castles and an interactive child fingerprint ID booth for the kids.

We spoke with director of the Weakley county prevention coalition, Courtney Echols, on why holding this event is important.
“I feel these kind of events are important because we want our community members to know all of the resources that are available to them and their families so that they can be equipped with whatever it is they need and know that there are people there to support them in their corner rooting for their success as a family,” said Courtney Echols.
The community health fair also provided free medication lock boxes & health resources.
